After Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey included Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck in his preseason GQ interview in which the former took shots at half of the league, the Week 10 matchup was circled before the season even started.
Ramsey, who said he doesn’t “really think Luck is that good,” took shots at about half of the league’s quarterbacks. When asked about it on Wednesday, Luck took the high road.
“(Jalen) Ramsey is a stud,” Luck told reporters Wednesday. “He’s physically very gifted. I think he plays football very smart and sharply if you will.”
Did you expect anything less from Luck, who hasn’t been one for bulletin board material throughout his career?
While Ramsey is a stud in his own right as one of the premier cover cornerbacks in the NFL, Luck is getting back to his status among the top quarterbacks in the league.
Not only is Ramsey plain wrong in the sense that Luck is not a good quarterback, but the numbers also have told a different story in regards to his comments.
No one expected Luck to take shots back at Ramsey, but he will get to prove the latter right or wrong on Sunday when the Colts and Jaguars face off for the first time this season.
